Team & Roles

Roles and permissions

2 min read

FoxTrak has three roles that control what each team member can see and do. Assign roles when inviting users, or change them any time from Settings.

Admin

Full access to everything. Admins can create and manage jobs, templates, and sent messages, access the trash, manage billing and subscriptions, and handle all team management - inviting, removing, and changing roles.

Editor

Editors can create, edit, and delete jobs and templates, view sent messages, and manage their own personal settings. They can't access billing, team management, or the trash.

This is the right role for most staff — they can do everything job-related without touching account settings.

Viewer

Viewers can see all jobs and leave comments, but can't make any changes. No editing, no settings, no billing. Useful for someone who needs visibility without the ability to act — a manager checking in, or an external contractor.

Changing member roles in FoxTrak

Changing a role

Go to Settings → Member Settings, find the team member, and select a new role from the dropdown. Changes take effect immediately.

If you demote yourself from Admin, FoxTrak requires confirmation to prevent accidentally locking yourself out of account settings.
