"You're up" notifications

2 min read

When a step becomes active and a team member is assigned to it, FoxTrak sends them a "You're up" notification — letting them know it's their turn to act without anyone having to chase them up.

What triggers a "You're up" notification

A "You're up" notification is sent when a step becomes the current active step and you are assigned to it. This happens automatically as soon as the previous step is completed.

Where it appears

The notification appears in the bell dropdown in the header. Click it to go directly to the relevant job so you can act straight away.

Why it matters for teams

Without step assignees, everyone on the team sees all jobs and all steps — but nothing is clearly anyone's responsibility. "You're up" changes that. When steps are assigned, each team member knows exactly what they need to do and when, without relying on someone to tell them.

It's the difference between a team that chases each other for updates and one that just works — everyone knows their role and gets notified the moment it's their turn.
